MAU is hiring a PLC Maintenance Specialist for our client HTGP in West Point, GA. Benefits Package - 401(k) Health insurance (90% employer paid) Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid holidays Paid time off Opportunity for advancement Relocation assistance for domestic candidates: Indirect vendor payments (not paid directly to candidate) 30 days of temporary housing Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify Shift Information - Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM Regular overtime required Rotating shift schedule Required Education and Experience - High School diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of job-related experience Knowledge of preventative maintenance guidelines and OSHA machine regulations Experience with machine operation and programming systems Preferred Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree or comparable work-related experience in a related discipline Tier-1 automotive manufacturing experience Cross-cultural work experience General Requirements - Strong knowledge of Siemens Step 7 systems and Siemens TIA Portal software Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and motor controls Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, and VAATZ Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Self-motivated with ability to work independently Ability to lead others in LOTO procedures and safety practices Essential Functions Policy & Compliance - Adhere to HTGP policies, procedures, and core values Treat all team members with respect and professional courtesy Comply with HTGP certification standards including IATF16949 and ISO 45001 EHS - Follow all safety policies and 5S standards to maintain a clean, safe environment Meet or exceed company safety goals Technical - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and electrical components Program, configure, and modify PLC systems and improve functionality Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Document actions and communicate irregularities during pass-down meetings Implement downtime-based countermeasures Support plant electricians and technicians with second-level troubleshooting Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to improve processes and equipment Assist with capital projects as scheduled annually Prepare reports and presentations on improvements and corrective actions Lead proper application of LOTO procedures Support PM schedules during weekends or shutdowns Ensure timely completion of PM Work Orders Evaluate and improve maintenance objectives Leadership - Maintain clear and timely documentation of all activities Foster strong relationships with team members and management Monitor and support key performance indicators (e.g., downtime rate, MTBF, MTTR) Motivate and mentor team members for growth and development Coordinate with departments to ensure continuous production flow Supervise contractors performing maintenance or equipment modifications Working Conditions - Climate-controlled manufacturing environment in most areas May involve working on different shifts and supporting weekend or holiday schedules May require domestic or international travel Physical Demands - Stand/Walk: Frequent (34–67%) Sit: Frequent (34–67%) Bend/Stoop/Squat: Occasional (6–33%) Forward/Overhead Reach: Occasional (6–33%) Fine Manipulation (e.g., computer use): Frequent (34–66%) Forceful Grip (e.g., hand tools): Occasional (6–33%) Lift/Carry: Rare (1–5 reps), up to 50 lbs Push/Pull: Occasional (6–32 reps), up to 50 lbs MAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
