A globally recognised offshore law firm is seeking an accomplished lawyer to join its leading Investment Funds practice in the Cayman Islands. This senior appointment offers the opportunity to advise major asset managers and institutional investors on high-value fund formation, structuring and regulatory mandates, while taking a leadership role in team management, client development and practice growth.
The successful candidate will provide expert legal and commercial advice across all aspects of Cayman Islands investment funds and funds regulatory work, acting as a senior point of contact for key global clients. This role combines technical depth, business development and people leadership, offering genuine long-term career prospects within one of the jurisdiction’s foremost fund practices.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on the full spectrum of fund-related matters, including hedge, private equity and venture capital structures. Manage complex client relationships, ensuring responsive, solutions-focused service delivery Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, providing technical training and career guidance. Oversee scoping, pricing and management of engagements, ensuring consistent profitability and efficiency. Contribute to business development initiatives and represent the firm at industry events. Participate in knowledge sharing, precedent development and firm-wide projects. Requirements
Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience in investment funds law, ideally within a leading offshore or international practice. Admission in a qualifying commonwealth jurisdiction (E&W / AUS / NZ / CAN). Proven experience advising top-tier fund managers, private equity sponsors and institutional investors. Strong leadership, mentoring and client relationship management skills. Excellent academics and drafting ability, coupled with sound commercial judgment.
