Director, Supply Chain Management
TriCore Reference Laboratories is looking for an experienced
Director, Supply Chain Management
to lead sourcing, procurement, vendor contracting, warehousing, and distribution functions. Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Travel may be required as business dictates.
Job Summary Provides strategic and tactical leadership for the sourcing, procurement, vendor contracting, warehousing, and distribution of all materials and services used by TriCore. Guides the company’s supply chain management functions. Provides vision, leadership, and actions to deliver significant financial benefits to the Company. Directly supervises the Procurement, Vendor Contracting, and Materials Management departments. Pursues the Company objectives in terms of price, quality, contracting, customer service, and on-time delivery of supplies and services. Supports all Company departments, satisfying their needs and requirements in products and services. Builds credibility in new areas leading to enhanced delivery of services to clients. Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Essential Functions
Directs and oversees the procurement, materials management, and vendor contracting staff.
Prepares and analyzes bids and proposals. Develops supplier relationships, performs and oversees team performing vendor contract negotiations, and solves issues with vendors and end-users.
Pursues cost reductions through supply cost measurement, usage reductions, compliance efficiencies, vendor consolidation and other synergies and strategies.
Develops and implements processes for efficient warehousing and distribution of all materials used in the business.
Develops and manages procurement, vendor contracting, and material management operational budgets, capital budgets, FTE budgets and all related fiscal forecasting and planning activities.
As a member of Senior Leadership, works with executives to establish and ensure delivery of strategic goals and financial performance.
Assists the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) with strategic supply chain rationale, maximizing opportunities in line with company objectives.
Sets an example for others by adhering to company values, code of conduct, and compliance policy.
Establishes a supplier quality assurance program in conjunction with Technical Operations.
Ensures adequate system of internal controls in all functional areas of departments.
Oversees compliance with environmental, Health & Safety and other regulatory rules and regulations.
Champions, adapts, and deploys best practices to achieve business objectives with respect to profit, delivery, quality, working capital, inventory turn, etc.
Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum Experience Ten years’ supply chain experience, including ten years of business experience in corporate sourcing and procurement for a professional organization with: ten years of people management experience, five years contract negotiation and management experience, and five years vendor management experience.
Preferences
Master’s degree in business administration.
Certification from a recognized Supply Chain organization.
Managing multiple sites and remote workforce.
Six Sigma training or certification.
Work Schedule Scheduled Shift: Monday‑Friday 8 AM‑5 PM and other shifts as needed.
