University of Georgia
Postdoctoral Researcher
The University of Georgia is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to collaborate on quantitative genetic field experiments and models of range-wide responses to climate change. The successful candidate will conduct fieldwork in common gardens arrayed across a latitudinal gradient and laboratory work at the University of Georgia, with the potential for additional short-term field collection trips in the eastern U.S. Responsibilities
Conducting experiments: independently conducting experiments and fieldwork at common gardens, data entry, and basic analysis and interpretation of results (40% of time). Analyzing experiments: independently analyzing data sets, performing quality assurance/quality control assessment of data sets, and leading research related to discovering, documenting, and understanding complex feedbacks (25% of time). Writing manuscripts, giving talks, and disseminating results (25% of time). Training and mentoring: providing training and mentoring to graduate students and undergraduate workers, critically reviewing global research advances, and contributing to the development of research proposals (10% of time). Requirements
