Location: 400 Howard Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94105 Responsibilities
Analyze performance characteristics to identify bottlenecks in medium to large-scale systems. Perform benchmark creation, measurement, and modeling of application behavior under load. Contribute toward the development of a performance framework to measure and improve performance of the core framework. Work collaboratively with a core team of architects who will provide direction and guidance. Perform detailed project planning and project management support, including work breakdown structure, estimates, status reporting and project closeout specific to testing. Design, refactor, and execute manual and automated tests. Apply understanding and working knowledge of modern SDLC and CI/CD processes. Use queries to create test data and analyze results. Track and ensure coverage for each software release. Initiate process and execution improvements for QA phases of SDLC. Perform tuning recommendations for PostgreSQL database and identify database performance issues with growth of data and usage patterns, working with database engineers. Requirements
Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field plus three (3) years of experience as a QA Engineer, Test Engineer, or in a related position performing manual and automated test engineering. Experience with: requirements analysis, test planning, strategy and execution, defect tracking, UI quality assurance testing, and release support; applying business domain knowledge to develop edge and negative test scenarios; utilizing agile processes (SCRUM) and Continuous Build and Integration; QA methodologies including test plan management, publishing test reports, and maintaining QA metrics; using Jenkins for deployment; working with web-based technology architecture and data structures; conducting performance testing with open source or commercial tools; and working with Linux, relational databases, SQL, industry-standard web servers, RESTful web services, and API testing. Compensation and Benefits
For US-based roles only: the anticipated base salary range is $237,682 to $243,650 per year, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
