Bookkeeper
Recruiting Director, Accounting and Finance at Vaco
Base pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year.
We are seeking a detail‑oriented, tech‑savvy Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and support the Controller in daily and monthly accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update the general ledger, manage accounts payable and receivable, and record journal entries accurately.
Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and resolve discrepancies.
Support payroll preparation, including timecard verification and tracking reimbursements.
Prepare and issue client invoices, follow up on receivables, and resolve billing inquiries.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with W‑9s, Certificates of Insurance, lien waivers, and 1099 reporting.
Allocate costs to jobs, track budgets and expenses, and assist with job costing reports.
Support monthly and year‑end close processes, and maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Collaborate with department heads to monitor budgets and expenditures.
Qualifications
2+ years of bookkeeping experience preferred; entry‑level candidates welcome (training provided).
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
