Overview At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for all payments of goods and services necessary for the essential operation of Cadence Design Systems, Inc.
Title Accounts Payable Specialist
Location Utah (home-based; candidates located in Utah are preferred)
Must Haves
Strong knowledge of accounts payable process and general accounting.
At least four years of high-volume Accounts Payable experience in a corporate environment.
Must be flexible and service-oriented, able to work on multiple projects with multiple departments with a high level of detail.
Coupa / SAP Financial systems experience is a plus.
Escheatment (Unclaimed Property) experience is a plus.
Job Requirements
Accurately and timely processing of incoming digital invoices into Coupa / SAP.
Auditing processed invoices ensures they comply with Cadence policies and SOX requirements.
Processing payment requests, wire requests, and tax payments, ensuring all appropriate approvals have been received.
Review all vendor statements and resolve outstanding balances.
Weekly preparation of invoices for payment run.
Support for audit review of expense reports against Cadence company policy (SAP/Concur).
Responsible for working on misc. projects for AP from outside department requests.
Responsible for unclaimed property administration (Escheatment’s).
Professional Skills and Education
Strong PC skills using Adobe, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Software skills using Coupa, Concur, and SAP is a Plus.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
Good organization skills.
Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Self‑motivated and able to work without direct managerial supervision.
Proven analytical and problem‑resolution skills.
High School Diploma or GED required; some college in accounting is a plus.
