Principal / Sr Principal Price Cost Analyst - R10211610-2 Join our Defense Systems organization to support the Pricing and Cost Estimating team. This role is located in Northrop Grumman facilities nationwide and can be performed on a remote or hybrid schedule.

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available.

CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret.

TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

Evaluates supplier proposals for compliance with FAR Part 15 Table 15‑2 requirements and prepares written Supplier Price/Cost Analysis Reports (PCARs).

Participates in fact‑finding sessions via telecom or at supplier sites.

Requests and obtains DCMA Assist Audits where applicable.

Establishes supplier proposed vs. evaluated positions by major element of cost.

May participate in supplier negotiations.

Maintains all records and supporting data used in support of proposals.

Conducts market research, analyzes historical data, and develops cost estimating models to evaluate price reasonableness.

Supports GSC pricing and estimating activities during the proposal phase.

Performs cost estimating/pricing duties in accordance with best practices, solicitation, customer requirements, and USG regulatory requirements.

Serves as the primary liaison between the Pricing Cost Estimating Group and other functional departments.

Reviews NG material estimates and consolidated priced bills of material for adequacy prior to incorporation.

Reviews Buyer/Subcontract Administrator completed price analyses for adequacy.

Supports Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Proposal and Estimating System Audits.

Reviews current processes, procedures, work instructions, and tools, and recommends improvements.

Conducts or supports training activities.

Basic Qualifications Principal Price Cost Analyst

Must have 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree; or a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, supply chain, or related discipline with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.

Experience in Price/Cost Analysis, subcontract and/or supply chain administration, pricing & estimating, proposal development, or accounting/finance.

In‑depth understanding of estimating and procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.

Previous experience with FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations.

Ability to work well in team environments.

Experience in capture and proposal activities in a government acquisition environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and apply sound judgment to problem solving.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Sr Principal Price Cost Analyst

Must have 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree; or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.

Experience in Price/Cost Analysis, subcontract and/or supply chain administration, pricing & estimating, proposal development, or accounting/finance.

In‑depth understanding of estimating and procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.

Previous experience with FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations.

Ability to work well in team environments.

Experience in capture and proposal activities in a government acquisition environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and apply sound judgment to problem solving.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of SAP.

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Familiarity with the concept and application of Cost Improvement Curves.

Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and accounting/proposal audit techniques.

Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.

Experience with template and tool development.

Ability to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi‑tasking environment while maintaining compliance during all stages of the proposal/acquisition process.

Experience with software or web development.

Salary Primary Level Salary Range: $82,900.00 – $124,300.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,200.00 – $154,800.00

The range represents a general guideline. Northrop Grumman considers multiple factors when determining base salary, including scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.

Benefits In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Management positions may qualify for long‑term incentives.
