You will oversee comprehensive bookkeeping operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and deliver timely and accurate financial reports. Working collaboratively with other Finance team members, you’ll ensure the completion and continuity of key company financial operations including invoicing, payroll, accounts payable and bookkeeping. Manage the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, adjustments, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including customer billing, invoicing, collections, and vendor payments. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Prepare detailed financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, for management review. Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payments while adhering to federal and state regulations. Oversee 401k administration to ensure compliance with IRS requirements and manage annual testing, reporting, and notifications. Handle tax filings and assist with documentation for income tax returns. Maintain insurance requirements and databases. Maintain ADP payroll records to follow company policies and legal requirements. Maintain timekeeping systems and track employee attendance, leave requests, and time-off balances. Collaborate with team members to improve accounting workflows and processes. Assist in budgeting activities and provide financial insights to support strategic planning. Collaborate with Finance team to ensure adherence to company policies and standards. What you need to be successful – Minimum Experience, and Skills

Qualifications: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks Certification are a plus. 5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounting, including managing the full accounting cycle, processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, managing customer invoicing, reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts, preparing detailed financial statements, and overseeing payroll processing. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel (including V-lookup, Pivot tables, etc.), and other Office applications. Knowledge of payroll, 401k administration, and tax compliance regulations, financial principles and cash basis accounting to ensure compliance across all processes. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with management and external auditors. Schedule & Location – Flexibility

You’ll have the flexibility to work 20 - 25 hours between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST, Monday – Friday, while working comfortably in your home. Office Location: Walnut Creek and Santa Cruz, CA where occasional office visits may be required. How to Apply
