A well-established plaintiff's law firm is seeking a solid, seasoned Legal Secretary to join its team. This role provides comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling personal injury cases, ensuring files are managed efficiently from intake through trial. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate with clients, schedule appointments, and provide regular case updates
Organize and maintain case files, track deadlines, and manage medical and legal documentation
Draft and format correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and demand packages
Prepare TOCs and TOAs, and handle e-filings in State and Federal courts
Request, review, and summarize medical records and billing information
Communicate with insurance adjusters, obtain policy details, and manage claims communications
Coordinate with witnesses and experts, assist with trial preparation, and assemble exhibits and trial notebooks
Qualifications
2–5 years of litigation assistant or secretary experience at a personal injury law firm
Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation procedures and court filing requirements
Proficiency with State and Federal e-filing systems
Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
