Technical System Administrator (Contract to Hire) Location:

Anchorage, Alaska (Onsite – Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM)

Base pay range:

$34.00/hr - $36.00/hr

Overview We’re seeking a hands‑on Corporate Technical System Administrator to provide hardware, software, and network support across enterprise and warehouse systems. This role supports business continuity through expert troubleshooting, system administration, and leadership within the IT Support team. You’ll act as a site lead and escalation point for junior technicians, ensuring high service levels and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, fully onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support for desktop, server, and warehouse systems.

Manage incident and request workflows using ServiceNow ITSM; document and resolve issues end‑to‑end.

Maintain IT asset lifecycle and compliance (procurement, distribution, recovery, disposal).

Support and maintain audio‑visual and warehouse automation systems.

Troubleshoot and configure software, printers, and connectivity beyond standard procedures.

Lead incident triage to ensure timely recovery and minimal outages.

Mentor and train junior TSA team members, ensuring adherence to IT policies.

Serve as primary contact for vendor communications during outages or major incidents.

Support enterprise initiatives as the technical lead for assigned market centers.

Maintain and secure network systems, including VLANs, TCP/IP configurations, and routing.

Provide after‑hours on‑call support on a rotating basis as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5–7 years in IT, system administration, or IT service management (3+ years as a TSA II preferred).

Proficient in network troubleshooting, design topology, and system security concepts.

Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, including Service Transition, Operations, and Continual Improvement.

Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow, vulnerability assessment, and warehouse networked equipment.

Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and mentoring abilities.

Preferred Certifications

A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL, Microsoft MCP/MCSE, or related technical certifications.
