Base Pay Range
$24.00/hr - $29.00/hr
Fraud Agent – Whatnot We are looking for a Fraud Agent to investigate and develop solutions to prevent and mitigate fraud on the Whatnot platform. You will proactively identify potential fraud patterns and sources to minimize financial risk. You will work collaboratively with the team to develop fraud prevention measures that are mindful of the impact on good user experience while inhibiting fraud actors’ ability to reach our platform.
Responsibilities
Regularly review daily potential fraud sources to support the company in preventing financial losses.
Meet interdepartmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while ensuring high quality work.
Conduct transaction‑level reviews to assist with chargebacks and disputes from customers.
Discover and identify fraud trends and present opportunities for stronger results and mitigation.
Communicate with customers regarding fraud inquiries.
Investigate fraud cases and brainstorm long‑term mitigation solutions.
Qualifications
Weekend availability required.
Availability to work holidays as needed.
4‑year degree is a plus.
1–5 years of experience in customer service, fraud operations, user experience or fulfillment.
Positive customer‑first attitude.
Proactive problem‑solver and process‑improver.
Organized and detail oriented.
Experience with social media, parcel delivery, marketplace sellers, vendors, payment processors and/or fraud operations.
Understanding of e‑commerce and marketplace operations.
Experience with customer‑facing systems like Zendesk, Kustomer, or Intercom.
Knowledge of collectibles is a plus.
