A Japanese EMS company is looking for an account manager.

Summary The main responsibilities of the Sales Account Manager include enhancing QCD Support for customers by responding to quotes for existing customers (RFQ, RFC, ECR, ECN, etc.), managing and analyzing forecast quantities, collaborating with the Operations Team to meet deadlines, and providing sales leadership while addressing customer requests.

Responsibilities

Request quotations for new models and redesigned products from our own factory and submit them to the customer.

Meet submission deadlines and obtain information from customers to receive orders. Ensure profit margins.

Lead annual quotation updates. Obtain various information and negotiate with customers to determine the final price.

Monitor customer forecasts and check for errors every day. Compare with last week’s forecast.

Arrange forecasts for factories for safety stock of new models, EOP models, and for issuing PO’s.

Review, analyze, and compare the customer’s forecasts daily and distribute it to Midwest Office members. Confirm any deficiencies or questions in the forecast with the customer and communicate the answers to all Midwest Office members.

Create the Long Term forecast and enter the number of Safety Stock confirmed to the customer for new models and EOP models.

Update the Long Term FCST monthly and distribute it to the Operations Team.

Review customer forecasts to compare past deliveries, prior forecast quantities, and analyze them carefully for problems. Confirm the exact reason for the increase or decrease in customer forecast with the customer and disseminate the information to Midwest Office members and the factory.

Work with the factory and the Operations Team to confirm the costs (e.g., emergency receipt of parts and FG air shipment costs) that can be expected due to an increase or decrease in FCST.

Lead emergency transportation arrangements in case of a shortage happening or demand increases/decreases.

Maintain more than a 95% customer satisfaction level and improve quality, delivery.

Reach price agreements with the customer when requesting a PO or Credit Memo. If a claim is required, provide evidence, and process it within the same month.

Provide reports to Manager/Director on a daily, weekly, and bi-annual basis. These reports include the Weekly Sales Report, Meeting Report, Price Update Report, Price List Update report, bi-annual Plan for Budget, Customer Issue Report, Cost Issue Report, and Receipt Report.

Communicate & respond in a timely manner, inform about state of progress in response to inquiries, and follow-up.

Qualifications

High proficiency with MS Office products; Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Sales Account Manager or equivalent required.

Experience in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) is highly desired, or experience in electronics parts sales.

Experience in the automotive industry or factory is also desirable.

Experience in handling quotations, meeting deadlines, and various negotiations.

Strong Analytical skills in identifying supply & demand trends, seasonality impact, and promotional impact.

Experience with ISO-9001 and TS-16949 standards a plus.
