Distribution Sales Manager
position.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on AprilAire’s growth in the West region by building and strengthening distributor partnerships that are critical to our success. Your work will not only expand our market presence but also ensure that distributors are fully equipped and motivated to bring AprilAire solutions to their customers (HVAC contractors). You’ll play a vital role in aligning sales strategy with execution—delivering results that matter for AprilAire, our partners, and the homeowners we ultimately serve.
You must live in Dallas, Houston, or Austin Texas to be considered for the position.
For this B2B sales role, our compensation package includes:
Base salary with quarterly bonus and year end territory growth bonus
Company credit card, iPhone, and laptop
When not traveling in the field, you can work from your home office (located in Texas)--a great way to balance your travel schedule.
Your day will include:
Acting as the owner for the regional distribution strategy and execution within all segments of the channel
Responsible for existing distributor account development and adding new distribution accounts where needed to reach AprilAire sales objectives.
Responsible for the execution of National Distributor plans at the local level as directed
Develops and executes annual account sales plan to meet and exceed revenue and sell thru goals
In partnership with our Channel Marketing team, implements AprilAire marketing programs with key distributors and national account distributors’ regional divisions.
Coordinates activity with local & regional distributors, including branch activity, displays, training, promotions, and sales. Communicate the execution of these activities with appropriate AprilAire team members
Submits monthly report on distribution activities and progress to annual sales
Manages follow-up on requests for new distribution according to company procedures and makes recommendations on addition.
Monitor industry and geographical changes by category and make recommendations to maximize Aprilaire market share in the region
Communicate new product opportunities by presenting ideas with proper rationale and logic. Identify market size, competition, selling price recommendation, target market, and distribution channel fit.

Prior experience running your own sales operating plan without significant management oversight
Effective strategic thinking skills and ability to analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities
Prior history of partnering with other functions to establish and generate pull-through sales leads
Excellent communication and presentation abilities to connect with customers
Ability to learn the industry, competitors, and market trends
Experience negotiating complex deals and creating partnerships with key accounts
Skilled at establishing credibility and developing strong relationships with clients
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets and quotas
Travel overnight 40% of the time in your territory
