Territory Ann Arbor, MI – Target city: Ann Arbor. Candidates who live within 40 miles of the territory boundaries with access to a major airport will be considered. Territory boundaries include: Tecumseh, Monroe, Taylor, Dearborn Heights, Plymouth, Canton, Whitmore.

We are seeking a dynamic, results‑driven sales professional with a proven track record who will promote our psychiatry portfolio in primary care and neurology settings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Business Planning & Account Leadership

– Use digital tools and data‑based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy & tactics, allocate resources, monitor progress and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.

Selling

– Deliver clear, compelling messages to customers; probe needs; handle objections; and close every call with a commitment to action.

Customer Development

– Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships based on customer needs and organizational goals.

Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise

– Gather and validate key market trends, map account linkages, and apply comprehensive therapeutic knowledge to prioritize opportunities.

Reimbursement

– Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics; anticipate and address payer access issues (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) using Lundbeck resources.

Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance

– Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory environment, including adherence to Lundbeck policies, FDA regulations, and promotion guidelines.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences from an accredited institution.

2–5 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical/biologics/medical device or related healthcare sales experience.

High scores on disease and product training exams; annual product knowledge certification.

Self‑starter with strong work ethic, tenacity and outstanding communication skills.

Adaptability: Ability to embrace change and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.

Problem‑solving: Proven analytical skills to identify solutions and overcome obstacles.

Data analysis: Strong computer and technical skills used to analyze data and set short‑ and long‑term goals aligned with business objectives.

Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries.

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. Driving is an essential duty.

Compliance with reasonable industry‑standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers / customer facilities.

Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move items up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

Recent documented experience selling to general practitioners and primary care centers.

Experience promoting and detailing CNS/neuroscience products.

Experience working with alliance partners (e.g., co‑promotions).

TRAVEL

Willingness/ability to travel 30–40 % domestically to meet customer base, attend conferences and internal/external meetings.

Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $108,000 to $125,000. Eligible for a sales incentive target of $39,000. Benefits include flexible paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, company match 401(k) and a company car. Additional benefits information can be found on our career site.
