Territory: Asheville, NC – Multi‑Specialty. Candidates must live within 40 miles of the territory boundaries (Black Mountain, Maryville, Sevierville, Newport, Hendersonville) and have access to a major airport.

We are seeking a dynamic, results‑driven sales professional with a proven track record who wants to grow with Lundbeck. The ideal candidate will excel as a specialty product expert, understand market complexities in primary care and neurology settings, and lead the promotion of our psychiatry portfolio using comprehensive clinical knowledge to drive sales performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Business Planning & Account Leadership
– Use digital tools and data‑based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy and tactics, allocate resources, monitor progress, and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.
Selling
– Deliver clear and compelling messages, probe customer needs, handle objections, and close every call with a commitment to action to drive behavior change.
Customer Development
– Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships based on customer needs and organizational goals, incorporating “total office” account management where applicable.
Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise
– Gather and validate key trends and dynamics in the market, map account linkages, and apply therapeutic knowledge to uncover and prioritize unique opportunities.
Reimbursement
– Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics and address payer access issues (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) using Lundbeck resources.
Pharmaceutical Environment / Compliance
– Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical and regulatory environments, ensuring adherence to Lundbeck policies, procedures, and FDA regulations regarding product promotion.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university.
2‑5 years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience.
Ability to score highly on disease and product training exams and maintain product‑knowledge certification annually.
Strong work ethic, tenacity, and outstanding communication skills.
Adaptability and collaborative teamwork in a fast‑paced environment.
Analytical problem‑solving skills.
Data‑analysis skills using computer and technical tools to develop short‑ and long‑term goals aligned with business objectives.
Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; driving is an essential duty.
Compliance with industry‑standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers.
Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move items up to 25 lbs (reasonable accommodation possible).
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Experience selling to general practitioners (GPs) and primary care centers.
Experience promoting and detailing CNS/neuroscience products.
Experience working with alliance partners (co‑promotions).
TRAVEL Willingness / ability to travel up to 30–40 % domestically to meet customer base and internal personnel; attend 4–8 conferences and meetings per year.
SALARY & BENEFITS Base salary $108,000–$125,000. Sales incentive target $39,000. Benefits include flexible PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and company car. Additional benefits are described on our career site.
