Hybrid – Madison, Wisconsin. Compensation: Depends on Experience. W2 contract only; C2C basis will not be considered. Job Description

This role supports and enhances existing web applications maintained within the Enterprise section. The candidate will join an existing team responsible for maintaining and improving web‑based applications. The preferred candidate will have experience with the tools outlined below. Required Technical Skills

C# and ASP.NET (MVC 5 & Core 8) – Proven experience building and maintaining web applications using both legacy (.NET Framework) and modern (.NET Core) platforms. .NET Core 6/7/8 – Hands‑on experience developing RESTful APIs and web applications using .NET Core, including dependency injection, middleware, and minimal APIs. VB.NET – Ability to understand, debug, and enhance legacy codebase. .NET Framework (4.8) – Deep understanding of the .NET runtime, libraries, and configuration. Kendo UI (jQuery + MVC Wrappers) – Experience in creating rich UI components and interaction using Kendo UI widgets. JavaScript & jQuery – Strong proficiency in frontend scripting, DOM manipulation, AJAX calls, and event‑driven UI design. SQL Server – Experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning. Oracle & DB2 – Solid understanding of working with multiple RDBMS systems, with ability to handle data integration, migration, and cross‑platform queries. Additional Experience

Web API (RESTful Service) – Experience building and consuming web services with security and versioning in mind. Entity Framework / Dapper / ADO.NET – Knowledge of ORM tools and raw data access strategies. Front‑End Integration – Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and browser compatibility. Unit Testing – Writing and maintaining unit tests for both front‑end and back‑end code. Version Control Systems – Experience with Git. Fine‑grained authorization – Proven experience designing and implementing solutions such as RBAC, ABAC, or similar. Security compliance – Applying security standards and regulations related to data access and authorization. Experience Requirements

10 years in C# and ASP.NET development. 8 years hands‑on experience with .NET Core 6/7/8. 10 years debugging legacy VB.NET code. 10 years understanding of .NET Framework. 8 years experience with Kendo UI best practices. 10 years proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery. 10 years writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and performance tuning. 10 years experience with multiple RDBMS systems (Oracle, DB2). 10 years handling data integration, migration, and cross‑platform queries. 10 years building and consuming web services. 8 years knowledge of ORM tools (Entity Framework, Dapper, ADO.NET). 8 years front‑end integration using HTML5, CSS3, responsive design. 10 years unit testing for front‑end and back‑end code. 10 years technical documentation. 8 years requirements analysis. 8 years authentication and authorization techniques (e.g., Okta). 10 years communication skills. 10 years full SDLC and project management principles. 8 years version control (Git) and Jira. 8 years compliance with security and data access standards, including fine‑grained authorization.
