Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable professional to manage weekly payroll processing while supporting key HR administrative tasks. This dual-role position ensures accurate employee compensation, maintains compliance with payroll and labor regulations, and assists in fostering a positive and efficient workplace culture. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and experience with payroll systems such as Paylocity and Viewpoint Vista. Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule using Paylocity, ensuring all employee time records are verified and reconciled. Prepare and submit Certified Payroll reports for applicable public projects in compliance with labor standards. Administer employee deductions, benefits contributions, and related reporting with precision and confidentiality. Manage payroll tax filings and payments, including quarterly and annual reports such as 940, 941, and W-2s. Maintain organized and up-to-date employee records covering onboarding, benefits enrollment, and status changes. Assist in recruitment coordination, including interview scheduling, background checks, and new-hire onboarding. Support employee relations by facilitating clear communication and assisting with policy or performance documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, payroll laws, and employment regulations. Handle payroll and HR inquiries promptly, maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times. Contribute to a positive, efficient workplace by providing consistent administrative and HR support. Qualifications
3 or more years of combined experience in payroll and HR administration; construction industry experience is a plus. Proficiency in Paylocity and Viewpoint Vista preferred. Strong understanding of payroll compliance, benefits administration, and HR documentation processes. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple priorities. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
