Location: Houston 77041 Position: Compensation & Benefits Specialist Schedule: Monday?Friday, 8:00 AM ? 5:00 PM (On-site; potential hybrid after 60 days) Contract: indefinite
Overview We are seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits Specialist to support critical HR initiatives, including a job architecture project and annual benefits enrollment. This role requires a strong background in both compensation and benefits, excellent project coordination skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities Compensation
Support the Job Architecture Project, including the creation of job descriptions, market benchmarking, and job leveling activities.
Assist in change management efforts and manager communications during the job architecture rollout.
Collaborate with the HRIS team to configure and test UKG for the annual merit review process.
Benefits
Assist with Annual Enrollment tasks, including vendor transitions (e.g., leave administration, voluntary benefits) and carrier changes.
Coordinate with brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless implementations and data accuracy.
Contribute to the development of benefits communications and enrollment materials.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in both compensation and benefits at a senior specialist level or higher.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced setting.
Hands‑on experience with HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and vendor implementations.
