IT - SCDHHS - IT Healthcare Consultant - Software Engineer - Project Lead

Our client, DataSoft Technologies, Inc., is seeking an experienced IT Healthcare Consultant/Software Engineer to lead the Service Manager project for SCDHHS in Columbia, SC.

Duration: 12‑month contract, with possibility of extension.
Client Location: 1801 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

Responsibilities Daily duties include:
Serve as Service Manager Engineer reporting to SCDHHS Bureau Chief of IT Services.
Collect and develop requirements for Service Manager requests with SCDHHS business units.
Work with System Center Orchestrator: create, maintain, and update workflows.
Maintain and update Cireson, update JavaScript for service requests, and work with vendor to fulfill requests.
Patch and update System Center, Orchestrator, and Cireson environments.
Interact with staff, vendors, and management across all levels.
Develop deliverables and artifacts for audiences of varying technical knowledge.
Act as SME/POC for processes related to the Service Manager environment.
Recommend process improvements and efficiencies.
Coordinate with technical teams and executives.
Provide after‑hours project and platform support as needed.
Project Experience Current or recent experience with Microsoft System Center is required and will be weighted highest.

General Duties
Develop and refine Service Manager request intake process.
Maintain and patch Service Manager environment and recommend improvements.
Lead migration of the existing Service Manager environment to an updated standard.
Required Skills
Minimum 3 years of development support for MS System Center.
Minimum 3 years of administration experience in MS Azure.
Minimum 5 years of administration experience in MS Servers.
Minimum 3 years' experience with an IT methodology framework (e.g., ITIL, MITA).
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of System Center Service Manager, Cireson, and Orchestrator.
Knowledge of JavaScript, PowerBI, SQL, HTML, XML, PowerShell.
Experience with healthcare‑related requirements and HIPAA/CDC frameworks.
Experience with major project implementation.
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related work experience (Required).
MS Server Admin Certifications (Preferred).
