Regional Sales Manager
at BrainPOP – New York, NY
About the Company BrainPOP is a leading digital learning platform trusted by educators and parents worldwide, reaching 25 million students annually across the U.S.
About the Role The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will drive growth across the assigned territory, balancing district‑level and school‑level sales to meet quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and execute a territory plan that expands BrainPOP’s presence in schools and districts.
Generate new revenue through upsell and cross‑sell initiatives across existing accounts.
Maintain a diversified pipeline, manage outreach via phone, email, webinars, events, conferences, and social media.
Deliver compelling sales presentations—both face‑to‑face and virtual—to showcase how BrainPOP’s curriculum tech supports student learning.
Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to enable expansion within current regional customers.
Lead in‑office engagement events, including event planning, logistics, and execution.
Track and report pipeline metrics and account plans using CRM tools.
Position details:
Hybrid role. Minimum 2–4 days in the NYC headquarters per month; travel up to 40% across the territory.
Expected to cover New York City and additional regions as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years of strategic sales experience in education technology, with proven quota attainment.
Deep knowledge of the New York City education market is highly preferred.
Proven ability to sell at both district and school levels.
Strong prospecting, communication, and consultative selling skills.
Organized, disciplined in CRM pipeline maintenance; data‑driven decision‑making.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within territory.
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Prior teaching experience and experience selling ELL products are pluses.
Location & Work Environment Hybrid work model: remote flexibility with in‑person attendance at the New York headquarters or regional hubs as needed. Remote work possible for eligible US states.
Compensation & Benefits Annual Base Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 USD (geographically neutral pay range). Salary components include commission potential based on performance.
