The Financial Analyst serves as the primary finance partner for Technology within the Shared Services organization, focusing on reporting, budgeting, and forecasting of technology spend.
This role supports enterprise visibility into IT operating costs, capital projects, and software investments—providing consistent, data-driven reporting through NetSuite and NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB) tools.
Working cross-functionally with Technology, Accounting, and FP&A, this analyst ensures accurate reporting, supports governance around technology investments, and drives improvements in reporting processes and data integrity.
Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions) Technology Spend Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports covering IT operating expenses, capitalized software projects, and system-related costs
Partner with Technology leaders to monitor project-level and vendor spend, providing insights into key cost drivers and variance explanations
Identify trends and anomalies in technology spend and assist in recommending corrective actions or efficiency opportunities
Forecasting, Budgeting & Consolidation
Support the annual budget and forecast cycles for enterprise-wide Technology spend, including both Operating and Capitalized Expenses
Maintain financial models to ensure alignment with corporate reporting standards
Utilize NetSuite Planning and Budgeting to collect, consolidate, and validate financial data
Prepare variance analyses (actuals vs. budget/forecast) with clear commentary for senior management
Assist with the development of dashboards and summary reporting for senior leadership
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance
Work closely with Technology leadership and Shared Services FP&A to align financial data with project management and system roadmaps
Validate financial data in partnership with Accounting and Technology teams, ensuring accuracy across actuals, accruals, and adjustments to the P&L
Support the standardization and automation of reporting templates within shared data environments
Participate in special projects, including process improvement initiatives, system upgrades, and tool integrations
Strengths and Background Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related field
1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
Solid analytical and communication skills, capable of translating financial data into actionable insights
Strong proficiency in Excel with an ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets
Preferred
Prior experience in a Private Equity-backed or multi-brand operating environment
Hands-on experience with NetSuite and NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB) or similar enterprise reporting tools
Demonstrated interest in technology, systems, and process improvement within finance operations
