Hours: 7 hours/day; 5 days/week.
Position Summary Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings, assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning, and supports teachers with instruction and classroom management that occurs in special education and general education classrooms, lunchrooms, and play field environs.
Responsibilities Assist students with behavior intervention, medical support, and learning facilitation; support teachers in classroom instruction and management across settings.
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics. Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.
Licenses and Certifications May require a valid driver’s license, compliance with District skill/competency requirements, and a valid First Aid/CPR card.

NCLB Compliance (48 college units or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam)
Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma, High School Transcripts or Equivalent such as GED)
Resume (Provide clear evidence of required experience)
CPR/First Aid Certificate
Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day. Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4‑5.99 hours/day.
Salary $20.33 - $26.87 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience.
