Under the general direction of the Chief, Office of Project Development, Management & Delivery (OPDMD) in the Division of Local Assistance (DLA), the Staff Services Manager I supervises a team of analytical staff and is responsible for management, oversight, coordination, and maintenance of major policy documents and activities relating to the implementation of Rail and Transit Programs (R&T) such as California Senate Bill 125, Transit & Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP) and other State and Federal funded Programs related to R&T programs and projects within DLA's portfolio. Position located at 1120 N Street Sacramento, Sacramento County. Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment. This is a Limited Term position which may be extended to 24 months or become permanent. This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in‑person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquarters location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquarters location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions.
