Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person who will serve as a dual-office assistant to support the day-to-day operations of both the Human Resources Department and County Legal Department. This hybrid position requires excellent multitasking and organizational skills, high-level of integrity, and the ability to work under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment. Examples of Duties
Human Resources Support (50%) • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and exit documentation. • Maintain employee records and ensure accurate and timely data entry into HRIS systems. • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities, trainings, and internal communications. • Help manage employee benefits administration and respond to general HR inquiries. • Prepare HR-related documents and reports as requested. Legal Counsel Support (50%) • Manage day-to-day office tasks, including answering phone calls and maintaining schedules. • Conduct limited research on legal precedents, statutes, and regulations to assist the county attorney. • Draft some letters and proofread legal documents. • Prepare and file legal documents with the court, ensuring compliance with local rules and deadlines. • Assist in organizing exhibits and preparing trial binders for court appearances. Typical Qualifications
Essential Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience; experience in both HR and legal settings is highly desirable. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and common HR/legal management systems. • Understanding of how to electronically file legal documents in MyCase and Pacer. • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment. • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively while maintaining accuracy.
