Role – Senior Electrical Engineer

Salary – $130,000 - $150,000 (dependent on experience)

Type – Permanent

Location – Columbus, OH area

My client is an established engineering and manufacturing business developing high-performance electronic systems used across demanding industrial and technology applications. They are now looking to bring on a Senior Electrical Engineer to take a lead role in hardware design and embedded development projects from concept through production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analog and digital circuit design, with experience in embedded systems and microcontroller-based development.

The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will have the following attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic hardware design and PCB layout.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (such as Altium or similar).
• Understanding of communication protocols such as Ethernet, USB, or serial interfaces.
• Experience with embedded controllers or microprocessor-based systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working across design, test, and production phases.

The Senior Hardware Design Engineer’s role will involve:

• Designing, developing, and verifying complex electronic hardware.
• Supporting embedded integration and system-level design.
• Creating design documentation, BOMs, and test procedures.
• Assisting in prototype build, debug, and validation testing.
• Collaborating with cross-functional engineering and production teams throughout project lifecycles.
