The Role
As a Recruitment Consultant, you'll learn the art of true consultative sales, relationship building, and talent advisory. You'll be trained to operate as a "360 recruiter," meaning you'll own the full desk: winning clients, finding talent, and closing deals.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identifying and approaching potential clients (hiring managers at banks, law firms, and professional services firms), pitching your services, and winning exclusive recruitment mandates
- Headhunting: Sourcing passive candidates through creative outreach, networking, LinkedIn, and good old-fashioned phone work
- Candidate Management: Screening, interviewing, and qualifying top-tier professionals while becoming their trusted career advisor
- Client Consultation: Understanding hiring needs, advising on market conditions, managing expectations, and delivering shortlists of qualified talent
- Deal Closing: Negotiating offers, managing counteroffers, and ensuring successful placements from start to finish
- Market Expertise: Developing deep knowledge of your specialist sector and becoming a go-to resource for industry insights
Who We're Looking For
- 12+ months of successful experience in sales, business development, account management, or recruitment (client facing experience is a must and new business development is desirable)
- Proven track record of hitting targets and performing in a competitive environment
- Hunger and ambition, you want to build a career, not just have a job
- Exceptional communication skills and natural confidence on the phone
