Job Summary
The HR Generalist will work with and support the HR department as a whole. This is a hybrid role out of the Midvale, Utah office. A large portion of the job duties will be related to new hire onboarding and payroll within the human resources department. This opportunity is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Process payroll on a bi‑weekly basis, including preparation of required reports.
- Respond to employee reporting requests from department stakeholders.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, including pre‑employment requirements.
- Coordinate employee perk programs.
- Answer first‑level benefit questions.
- Assist with the annual open enrollment process.
- Support Talent Acquisition Manager in scheduling interviews, as available.
- Assist with initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention, as available.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee data.
- Promote positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Detail‑oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish rapport, credibility, trust, and positive relationships with employees, including those working remotely.
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work activities.
- Ability to work with standard office technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to provide an environment that encourages communication and trust.
- Proficiency navigating an HRIS.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of related experience is required.
- Familiarity with employee benefit programs.
- General understanding of payroll processing.
Preferred Requirements
- Two or more years of related experience.
- HR Certification (e.g., SHRM‑CP, PHR).
- Experience using Paycom HRIS or similar HRIS platform.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary
Starting at $60,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
