Our client is a stable and growing mid‑sized company on Whidbey Island in search of an Accounting Manager. Working with a CFO and managing a mid‑sized team, this person will focus on leading and developing their team while contributing to GL accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and more.

• Overseeing monthly reconciling of GL accounts, close and preparing financial statements.
• Leading and managing the annual capital budgeting process and preparing monthly budget variance analyses and financial reports for management review.
• Own the work order process and assist project managers with estimates of completion.
• Other accounting duties include: maintaining fixed assets, cash management, processing payroll.
• Assisting with the annual audit process.
• Developing, implementing, and updating accounting policies and procedures to reflect best practices and regulatory changes as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance.
• Minimum eight years’ diverse accounting experience, with at least four years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in advanced ERP/accounting platforms, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, or similar.
• Microsoft Excel (experience with pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis).
