ATA Services is currently seeking to hire an experienced Inspection Public Records Act (IPRA) Analyst to work on a temporary assignment in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Pay Rate: $47.50 per hour with weekly pay
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Fulltime – Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm
Location: In-office Santa Fe, New Mexico
Job Summary:
Managing public records requests, ensuring compliance with state laws, and coordinating the release of public information. Key duties include serving as the primary point of contact for requests, utilizing a records portal to track and manage incoming requests, researching and compiling requested documents, and collaborating with legal counsel to apply necessary exemptions and redact confidential information.
Core responsibilities include:
Request management: Serve as the primary point of contact for public records requests, monitor deadlines, and manage the public records portal used for incoming requests.
Records compilation: Utilize the internal management system to gather, organize, and compile records in response to requests.
Legal and compliance review: Work with legal counsel to ensure all actions comply with the Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA) and other relevant laws. This includes identifying and redacting exempt information.
Coordination and communication: Coordinate with other government departments and staff to redirect IPRA requests to the appropriate state entity.
Minimum Qualification
A bachelor's degree in public administration, law, or a related field is , but a combination of education and experience may be accepted.
At least 2-4 years of administrative experience, specifically in records management, is required.
Direct experience coordinating public records requests, preferably under IPRA.
