Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Job Description: Alpharetta, GA We're seeking a passionate and skilled
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
to join our team in
Alpharetta, Georgia . The BCBA will be responsible for providing high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals, primarily children and adolescents, with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental and behavioral needs. This role involves clinical oversight, program development, direct service, and staff and caregiver training. Key Responsibilities Assessment & Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including functional behavior assessments (FBAs), skills assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS), and preference assessments.
Develop, write, and oversee the implementation of individualized, data-driven treatment plans, skill acquisition programs, and positive
Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
Review and modify treatment plans and goals based on ongoing data analysis to ensure clinical effectiveness and measurable progress toward socially significant outcomes.
Clinical Supervision & Training: Provide direct and documented supervision (at least 5% of service hours) and mentorship to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Behavior Technicians (BTs), and BCBA/BCaBA candidates, ensuring fidelity to treatment protocols.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, side-by-side coaching, and ongoing training for clinical staff on ABA principles, data collection, and intervention strategies.
Case Management & Collaboration: Maintain a clinical caseload, managing authorization and re-authorization processes with funding sources (e.g., insurance).
Communicate regularly and effectively with clients, caregivers, and other professionals (e.g., Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, educators, physicians) to ensure collaborative, cohesive care across environments (clinic, home, school, community).
Conduct regular
caregiver training
sessions to promote generalization of skills and treatment consistency.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous, organized, and audit-ready documentation, including session notes, progress reports, assessment summaries, and discharge summaries, in a timely manner using electronic data collection software.
Adhere strictly to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)® Professional and Ethical Code of Conduct and all relevant federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
Professional Development: Participate in team meetings, clinical case reviews, and ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and research in the field of ABA.
Qualifications and Requirements Education:
Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
Certification:
Current and unrestricted certification as a
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)®.
Licensure:
Eligible for or possessing any necessary state
licensure/credential
to practice as a BCBA in Georgia.
Experience:
Minimum of
one (1) year of experience
as an independent BCBA providing comprehensive ABA treatment, preferably with individuals on the autism spectrum. Experience supervising clinical staff (RBTs/BTs) is required.
Skills: Demonstrated expertise in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and using single-case design methodologies.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in utilizing electronic data collection platforms and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Other: Ability to pass a state and federal background check.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be required for home/community visits).
