Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Hardware Tech for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. Candidates must have hands-on experience working in engineering labs or high-volume manufacturing test environments.
Rate Range: $37/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and troubleshoot computer hardware systems, ensuring proper assembly and functionality of components.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment used in engineering labs and manufacturing environments.
- Perform hands-on debugging and rework on PCBAs, including soldering and component-level analysis.
- Work with Linux command line and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for documentation and reporting.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and datasheets to support hardware diagnostics and repairs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work independently, while adhering to safety standards including lifting equipment up to ~50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in engineering labs or high-volume manufacturing test environments.
- Proficiency in Linux command line operations and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Hands-on experience with computer hardware assembly, PCB rework, and interpreting electronic schematics.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $41.00 per hour
