Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a Contract job with a client in Wilmington, MA. You will be responsible for evaluating unit-related issues per work instructions, escalating non-conformances to Quality & SQE, and identifying opportunities to reduce waste in production processes.

Rate Range: $33/hour to $35/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Technician Job Responsibilities

• Understanding and following all operations work instructions (WIs) related to assembly, testing, and rework.
• Providing training and clarifications on performance and functionality criteria.
• Evaluating unit-related issues based on work instructions and specifications.
• Escalating potential part non-conformances to Quality and SQE teams.
• Engaging with Mechanical Engineering (ME), Quality Engineering (QE), and SQE teams to communicate findings and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborating with production leadership to identify and correct training gaps.
• Identifying and reducing waste across production processes, focusing on the 8 Wastes.
• Applying electro-optical expertise to support the manufacturing process.

Desired Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2-year post‑secondary/AA Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of prior manufacturing experience, or 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience with a 2-year post‑secondary/AA degree.
• Electro‑Optical experience required.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem‑solving skills.

Pay Details: $33.00 to $35.00 per hour.
