ChristianaCare Family Medicine Center at Wilmington is looking for an
Office Assistant II .
Family Medicine Center at Wilmington is located at 501 W. 14th Street in Wilmington, Delaware. The ChristianaCare Family Medicine Center at Wilmington Health Center is one of two locations for an academic family medicine practice in Wilmington, alongside the Foulk Road center. Both centers feature physicians who serve as educators and faculty, allowing resident doctors to participate in patient care. Faculty members actively engage in research and mentorship to promote advanced, compassionate healthcare.
The center offers a variety of primary care services enhanced by an on-site pharmacy, diagnostic testing, social services, and wellness and educational programs. Services include primary care for all age groups, pediatric and teen visits, women's health services, sexually transmitted infection counseling and testing, sports medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine, behavioral health, joint injections, skin biopsy, minor wound care, LGBTQ comprehensive care, and treatment for substance and alcohol use disorders.

As the
Medical Office Assistant II,
you will be the first point of contact between a practice and a patient, responsible for creating a friendly, efficient environment. They serve patients with compassion, answer questions, schedule appointments, register patients, and update records. They also assist with training staff and provide guidance on workflow questions. The position represents the entire practice and ensures a positive patient experience.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4pm Duties / Responsibilities: The
Medical Office Assistant II
is responsible for training staff, handling inventory management, scheduling appointments, and interacting with patients. The
Medical Office Assistant II
collect demographic and financial information, process referrals, verify insurance reimbursement eligibility, and collect payments. The
Medical Office Assistant II
also perform day-end reconciliation of appointments and payments received. The
Medical Office Assistant II
answer phone calls professionally, communicate with providers, and maintain patient information. The
Medical Office Assistant II
facilitate patient testing, labs, and appointments, prepare medical records, and research issues. The
Medical Office Assistant II
assist with administrative tasks and adhere to departmental safety rules. The
Medical Office Assistant II
report any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations to the supervisor. The
Medical Office Assistant II
also perform other related duties as needed. The
Medical Office Assistant II
role also involves maintaining a professional demeanor, ensuring safety, and providing administrative support.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.19 - $26.37
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
