Required Education & Experience • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, etc.). Internship experience is considered valid. • Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience utilizing quantitative analysis.
Technical Skills: o SQL: Proficiency in writing queries for data extraction. o Cloud Data Platforms: Experience with AWS and Snowflake. o Data Visualization: Strong skills in Power BI for building dashboards. • Soft Skills: Strong initiative, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Nice-to-Have (Top Candidate Qualifiers) • A Master's or PhD in a highly relevant field (Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Applied Statistics, etc.). • Experience with other cloud technologies (Azure, Google Cloud). • Evidence of continuous learning in the analytics field. • Experience with Power Apps.
Key Responsibilities • Data Extraction & Analysis: Write SQL queries to extract data and analyze trends to support business needs. • Dashboard & Tool Development: Build, maintain, and revise Power BI dashboards and database schemas. • Data Validation: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of datasets used for supply chain analytics. • Collaboration: Work closely with a team of data scientists and management to understand requirements and deliver effective data visualizations and solutions. • Project Participation: Join cross-functional teams to solve problems presented by internal business units, dealers, or customers.
Disqualifiers / Red Flags • Candidates who are overqualified (e.g., Senior Data Scientists with 8+ years of experience) or who lack the required hands-on technical skills in SQL, AWS, and Power BI will not be a good fit.
Role Context & Team Dynamics • Team Structure: You will be part of a small team of 5 employees. • Work Environment: This is a full-time, on-site position in Mossville, IL. There is no remote work possibility. • Typical Task Breakdown: The role is heavily focused on the technical execution of data tasks-writing SQL, building Power BI reports, and managing data schemas.
