Staff Accountant
to support the accounting and finance team. This role focuses on Accounts Receivable and general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. You'll report directly to the
Manager of Accounting
and play a key role in month-end close and reconciliation processes. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable Manage payment posting and reconciliation. Handle patient pay processes, coordinating with participants, families, and partner agencies. Monitor billing activity and ensure documentation compliance. Prepare and distribute monthly invoices for participants and payors. Review A/R aging reports and perform follow-ups to minimize outstanding balances. Post and reconcile remittances from major funding sources. Oversee benefit-related payment requests and reconciliations. General Accounting Prepare and post journal entries with complete documentation. Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and research discrepancies. Assist with month-end close and reporting. Support annual audit preparation and other accounting projects as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in accounting or accounts receivable. Strong understanding of accounting principles and A/R processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems. Highly detail-oriented and organized.
