Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant Role:
Manage Accounts Receivable processes including payment posting, invoicing, and reconciliation
The Staff Accountant will serve as a liaison between families, internal departments, and government agencies to ensure accurate and timely billing
Track and follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies to minimize delinquent accounts
The Staff Accountant will prepare and post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist with month-end close activities
Support audit preparation and other general accounting projects as needed
Qualifications of the Staff Accountant Role
1-3 years of experience in general accounting or accounts receivable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Strong Excel and accounting software skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to meet deadlines
