Manufacturing Engineer
is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the assembly and testing of advanced aerospace products. This role requires hands-on experience on the production floor and strong problem-solving skills to be the first line of defense for equipment, parts, and process issues. Responsibilities: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, and assembly methods to improve quality, cost, and efficiency. Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for manufacturing and assembly issues. Collaborate with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and operators to ensure process capability and product reliability. Apply Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to high-impact production areas. Review and interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical specifications to ensure design-to-production conformance. Analyze workflow, production schedules, labor standards, and material costs to recommend process improvements. Mentor and train less experienced team members; lead special projects as required. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (required). Minimum 6 years of manufacturing or production engineering experience. Hands-on experience on manufacturing floors, preferably with assembly/test operations. Aerospace experience preferred but not required. Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, process analysis, and statistical process control (SPC). Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems, production planning, and process documentation. SME or ASME certification is a plus.
