Overview
Senior Event Manager, The Diplomat Beach Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton. This role is responsible for event documentation and coordination with Sales, hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of all hotel events. The position primarily handles complex events and requires a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales. There are opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. The role serves as the event planner's primary on-property contact after turnover and may support or act on behalf of the Director of Catering and Events. Responsibilities
Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals. Communicate with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person in a timely manner. Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet expectations and deliver on them. Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, and processes. Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances. Sell and influence both internal and external clients. Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing issues and determining the best solution. Ensure high-quality service by communicating with and guiding others to understand guest needs, providing feedback and coaching when needed. Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary. Perform other duties as necessary based on business needs. Maintain regular attendance. What are we looking for?
Minimum 2 years of hospitality-related experience at manager level. Experience supervising or managing 1-3 people. Knowledge of hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc) is advantageous. Key Attributes
