Jazz Club Assistant Manager

About Meyhouse Jazz Meyhouse Jazz (www.meyhousejazz.com) a premier live music venue in the San Francisco Bay Area, dedicated to offering outstanding performances by local and national artists. Our Palo Alto location, designed in collaboration with SFJazz, boasts excellent acoustics and a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system. We are expanding to a new location in San Ramon and seek a dynamic individual to join our team to help manage the music and hospitality program for both locations.
Key Responsibilities
Artist Coordination:
Manage relationships with artists, schedule performances, and handle bookings to ensure a diverse and engaging lineup.
Logistics Management:
Oversee event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and coordination of equipment and staff to ensure seamless operations.
Sound Engineering:
Maintain the venue's sound system, ensuring optimal audio quality for all performances. Coordinate the sound engineers.
Marketing and Promotion:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events, including creating promotional materials and managing advertising campaigns.
Social Media Management:
Manage and update social media platforms to engage with the community and promote upcoming events.
Digital Publishing:
Publish content on digital platforms such as YouTube, SoundCloud, and Spotify to expand the venue's online presence.
Ticketing and Seating:
Oversee ticket sales, manage reservations, and coordinate seating arrangements to ensure a positive guest experience.
Expansion Support:
Assist in the opening and management of the new San Ramon location, ensuring consistency in operations and programming.
Qualifications
Proven experience in event coordination, preferably within a live music or entertainment venue.
Proficiency in marketing, including social media management and content creation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Technical expertise in sound engineering, lighting and video production is a plus.
Passion for jazz and live music.
