Technical Sales Manager, Food Applications
Our client is an established and respected manufacturer of functional ingredients and chemicals sold to manufacturers of food, beverage, and nutraceutical/nutritional products. We are searching for a technical sales professional to grow business and cover accounts throughout the country. Specifically, we like to hire someone who has experience with meat formulations (beef, pork, poultry, etc.) or bakery applications.
Overview This is a remote position so candidates will work from a home office and travel as needed to visit customers and make sales presentations and attend trade shows and expos.
Responsibilities
Grow business and cover accounts throughout the country for functional ingredients and chemicals used in food, beverage, and nutraceutical products.
Sell to B2B customers – manufacturers of food products (meat formulations experience preferred).
Travel as needed to visit accounts (approximately 3 days every other week).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required (preferred degrees: Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or other natural sciences).
Experience selling ingredients to companies that make chicken nuggets, beef sticks, beef jerky, protein-based entrees, meat analogs, sausages, pepperoni, etc.
All sales are B2B to manufacturers of food products.
Hunter mentality with excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, time management, and prioritization skills.
Ability to travel – ~3 days every other week to visit accounts.
Confident, hard-working, positive, upbeat, and enthusiastic personality.
Residency within the territory near a large city with a major airport in the upper Midwest (Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, NW Indiana preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay range: $115,000.00/yr – $128,000.00/yr.
Additional compensation: Annual Bonus.
Remote work setup provided (laptop, cell phone plan, home office equipment).
Healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision) plus other voluntary insurance and benefits including a 401K.
All travel & entertainment expenses reimbursed.
Location & Travel Remote position with travel to visit customers and attend trade shows as needed. Territory in the upper Midwest; preferred locations include Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and NW Indiana.
