We are building a team of engineers for our Commissions & Substantiation Platform to support a Finance Data Lake from the ground up. Position

GEICO Tech is looking for a highly motivated DevOps Engineer II to join our Commissions & Substantiation Platform team. You will work with cross-functional teams to help build a Finance Data Lake from the ground up. Responsibilities

Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems through cross-functional collaboration throughout the Software Development Lifecycle Build highly reliable infrastructure and drive toward efficient and optimal solutions Automate tasks, test infrastructure, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and integrate with edge data sources for Data Engineering teams to increase developer efficiency Deliver high-quality software and establish best practices and processes across the organization through code reviews, test automation, and mentoring engineers Utilize programming languages like Python, C# or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases; container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes; and Azure tools and services Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams Qualifications

Experience in Hybrid cloud environments with Azure or AWS and Linux-based on-prem infrastructure Experience with CI/CD, Azure tools (Just-in-Time, VM Access, Cloud Services, Active Directory, Automation Accounts), Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform, GitHub, and IT automation tools like Chef or Ansible Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, or other OO languages, and SQL/NoSQL databases Hands-on experience building platforms from the ground up with resiliency, observability, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code Experience implementing Spark on Kubernetes in on-prem or cloud environments with monitoring and security Ability to write scripts in PowerShell, Ant, Maven, or similar Experience with Microservices and API deployment Knowledge of data formats (Parquet, Avro, ORC, XML, JSON) and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., DBT, Databricks); familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure needs Advanced understanding of DevOps concepts, including Azure DevOps Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Cloud architect certifications are preferred Minimum Requirements

3+ years of developing and maintaining software deployment processes in Java, .NET, or Python environments 2+ years of experience with architecture and design 2+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid data center 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience Annual Salary

$75,000.00 - $160,000.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Final compensation will reflect factors such as scope and responsibilities, experience, education, location, and market considerations.
