Overview
IS Applications Analyst 1 - Web Based Services This position involves managing website content, ensuring site security, and providing customer support while demonstrating technical proficiency and effective communication skills within the ITS Nashville.gov Support Team. Responsibilities
Assist with the daily customer change requests (including with both internal and external resources) related to all the websites and applications managed by web-based services. Assist with reviewing and working with external and internal resources to ensure security of web-based services applications. Work with other Nashville.gov Support team members and appropriate vendors to maintain and support external applications including, but not limited to, Drupal, SearchStax, Acquia, and Cloudflare. Assist site testing to identify potential bugs or content issues. Report or webform development and maintenance as appropriate for supported areas. Assist in the testing and implementation and maintenance of AI services such as chatbot. Perform research and report on new or emerging technologies that might benefit the websites supported by the Nashville.gov Support team. Education & Experience
Two (2) years’ experience in information technology or similar area. Education may be considered in lieu of experience. Licenses Required
Valid Driver License Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply. Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government. Required Skills
Basic website content management system experience, Drupal experience preferred Basic HTML and CSS knowledge. Experience with PHP a plus Basic knowledge of W3C standards such as semantics and accessibility Intermediate writing and copyediting skills Basic experience with Photoshop or similar image editing tool Basic understanding of, or experience with, managing social media content across multiple platforms We are an equal opportunity employer.
