The Applied AI Solutions Finance team seeks a Finance Manager to support our Healthcare and Life Sciences AI solutions businesses. These teams are revolutionizing patient care and how new drugs are formulated and approved. This role offers direct business partnership and will work closely with key business partners, tech leaders, and senior finance management to drive strategy and financial modeling for new solution offerings and develop first-of-their-kind pricing models for AI-native solutions. The Finance Manager will drive rhythm-of-the-business mechanisms, financial reporting and planning, cost optimization, decision support, and controllership.

Responsibilities

Lead and influence strategic financial decisions to drive long-term growth and profitability including evaluating new solution ideas through PRFAQ support, developing new pricing strategies, and assessing investments in new services and features.

Own full P&L of Healthcare and Life Sciences AI solutions, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Sales to assess financial implications of initiatives to accelerate revenue growth, improve profitability, and improve free cash flow.

Influence private pricing deal structures to enable top line growth while ensuring controllership and margin protection.

Manage projects that significantly impact the business, including partnering with engineering teams to identify and implement infrastructure cost optimizations.

Lead the OP1/OP2 and R&O planning processes, continuously evolving forecasting to align with changing business needs and clearly presenting drivers and narratives to senior leadership.

Lead deep-dive ad hoc analyses and drive insight generation in Weekly, Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews to influence the business.

5+ years of tax, finance or related analytical field experience.

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related analytical field (or related 5+ year quantitative experience such as engineering, math, computer science).

6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying root causes, and creating/implementing escalation plans.

6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with measurable impact.

MBA or CPA.

Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Knowledge of SQL/ETL.

6+ years applying KPIs to analyses and building financial/operational reports that inform decision-making.

6+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysis, and participating in continuous improvement projects to scale controllership with measurable results.

Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
