This position serves as the consultant for a major public health initiative to improve the health of people with HIV. The consultant will provide guidance to develop, implement, and evaluate state and local programs designed to improve the care and treatment of people living with HIV who are eligible to receive federal support. Responsibilities include oversight of state and local, private, and public funded agencies to ensure appropriate utilization of federal HRSA funding (over eight million dollars). Experience Public Health Consultant 9: No specific type or amount required.
Public Health Consultant 10: One year of professional, post-master’s experience as a consultant in public health equivalent to Public Health Consultant 9.
Public Health Consultant P11: Two years of professional, post-master’s experience as a consultant in public health equivalent to Public Health Consultant, including one year equivalent to Public Health Consultant 10. Additional Requirements and Information
Position Location/Remote Office:
The physical location is 111 W Edgewood Blvd, EOS, Suite 11, Lansing, MI or Cadillac Place in Detroit. Based on operational needs, remote work or hybrid schedules may be considered. Remote/hybrid candidates must work within Michigan. Confirm location and schedule at interview.
Responsibilities Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may be provided for necessary communications. Remote employees must provide a remote-office setup, including:
A secure, private work location
High-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload)
Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities
