Overview

Title: Senior Scientist – Cell-Based Drug Screening & in Cell Compound Characterization Company: SEED Therapeutics Location: 411 Swedeland Road, King of Prussia, PA (Lab) Department: Research and Development Group: Cell based drug screening and in cell compound characterization SEED Therapeutics is pioneering molecular glues: novel therapeutics that degrade disease-causing proteins that have heretofore remained undruggable. Our mission is to positively impact human health by creating protein degradation therapeutics for the treatment of severe diseases with limited therapeutic options. This role joins the cell-based drug screening and in vitro characterization group to conduct proof-of-concept, validation, and compound screening studies to support multiple molecular glue discovery programs. Responsibilities

This is a lab-based role to implement biochemical and cellular assays for drug screening, hit/lead characterization, and mechanism studies. Design, optimize and perform a variety of cell-based functional assays including but not limited to cell proliferation, Western Blotting, ELISA, in-cell proximity assays to evaluate molecular glue hits. Generate transient or stable cell lines by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to knock in or knock out/down target genes. Design, optimize, and execute diverse, complementary cellular assays and molecular biology techniques, including multi-omics analysis and genetic perturbation (knock-in/knock-down/knock-out), to elucidate the mechanism of action (MoA) of molecular glues. Analyze, interpret, summarize, and present research findings at project team meetings and leadership meetings. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Collaborate across the company to advance Seed’s drug discovery platforms and drug candidates. Maintain meticulous records to capture data and value creation internally and externally. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment free of safety hazards. Project leadership and CRO management as needed. Prepare study reports, manuscripts, patent applications, and SOPs for laboratory work performed repeatedly. Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with at least 5 years of cell culturing experience, and at least 3 years’ experience testing compound activity in cell-based assays; experience in targeted protein degradation (TPD) field is a plus. Strong molecular and cellular biology background with hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting biochemical and cellular assays (e.g., cell proliferation, Western Blotting, ELISA, TR-FRET, AlphaLISA, flow cytometry). Hands-on experience in mammalian cell line transfection methods (lipofection, electroporation) and lentiviral infection. Familiarity with siRNA/CRISPR for gene knock in/out/down. Proven ability to multitask effectively and collaborate within a fast-paced laboratory environment. Experience operating under SOPs with excellent documentation, including electronic lab notebook usage. Familiarity with automatic/robotic dispensers and liquid handling is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills, evidenced by publications of methods, SOPs, and results. Equal Opportunity

SEED Therapeutics is an equal opportunity employer committed to a culturally diverse workforce.
