Overview
Position Summary: As the Group Director of Club of the Future, you will be at the heart of Sam’s Club’s omni transformation — driving the vision, strategy, and execution for the next-generation Sam’s Club. Reporting to the VP of Omni Transformation, you will lead a high-performing, cross-functional team to reimagine and deliver future-ready club experiences, including digital integration, automation, and operating model reinvention. This role focuses on building a blueprint for a seamless, intuitive, and transformative Sam’s Club for members and associates alike. You will partner closely with product, design, operations, technology, marketing, and field leadership to connect the dots across a complex ecosystem and lead bold transformation at scale. Responsibilities
Lead the Vision for the Club of the Future:
Own and drive the strategy for how Sam’s Club will operate and serve members in the years ahead.
Transform Operating Models:
Redesign how clubs work — labor models, processes, roles, and routines — to create more agile, tech-enabled, and efficient ways of operating.
Drive Digital + Physical Integration:
Seamlessly connect digital tools, automation, and advanced technologies with core club operations to create frictionless, scalable solutions.
Reimagine Member & Associate Journeys:
Anticipate future needs, map key journeys, and build simplified, repeatable playbooks that elevate experiences and reduce friction.
Champion Innovation & Automation:
Identify and deploy emerging technologies and innovations that will define the club of the future, from front-end engagement to back-end operations.
Influence Across the Enterprise:
Collaborate with executives and partners across product, design, operations, and technology to drive alignment and execution.
Lead & Inspire Teams:
Build, mentor, and empower a diverse team of innovators and operators to bring the future-state vision to life.
Qualifications
10–15 years of experience in strategy, retail operations, digital transformation, or related fields.
Proven track record of leading enterprise-level transformation initiatives and cross-functional teams.
Strong executive presence, communication, and storytelling skills.
Retail, omni-channel, or large-scale consumer-facing industry experience strongly preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$320,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
