Receive, label, store and prepare patient specimens for analysis. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment. Perform daily quality control (QC) and participate in quality assurance (QA) programs. Enter and verify test orders/results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) with accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Interpret QC data, reject unacceptable specimens, alert supervisors/clinicians to critical values or unusual results. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the laboratory environment; follow biosafety, infection control, chemical safety and other applicable safety regulations. Communicate effectively with team members, clinicians and other staff; may assist in training junior staff or students. Work Environment & Schedule
Most work is in a clinical laboratory environment with bio-hazardous materials, requiring protective equipment and adherence to safety standards. Part-time evening or weekend shifts typical. Facilities Culture & Your Role

Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent recognized program. Strong computer skills and familiarity with LIS/data entry systems. Excellent attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to follow procedures, maintain record accuracy, and use lab equipment safely and effectively. Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of clinical laboratory experience. Certification by a nationally recognized organization (e.g., American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification – ASCP) Familiarity with molecular lab testing.
