Beacon CDL is a leading supplier/installer of commercial doors, frames and hardware. We supply materials across the nation and around the world. We have been based in Salt Lake City, UT since 1966. Though this industry is foreign to many, it is a vital part of every commercial construction project. Beacon has been experiencing steady growth and we are seeking talented individuals who are willing to join our team.
The HR administrator is part of the accounting department. This individual will help manage and maintain benefit programs as well as employee enrollment and participation in those programs. They will also oversee timecards, payroll, employee vacation time, coordinate employee annual performance review and assist with planning company events and gatherings. They assist the accounting department and the company president with additional tasks as needed.
This is a part time position (20-25 hours/week), hours are flexible, in office between 7am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-12pm Friday.
The pay range is between $19-25/hr depending on experience.
Responsibilities
General Responsibilities: Maintain complete, confidential employee files Maintain a current listing of all employees Maintain employee handbook and other new employee on-boarding materials Manage employee health insurance enrollment, payroll, 401k applications, etc. Track employee time cards, install hours, employee vacation time, over time, etc. Coordinate with department managers for annual employee performance reviews Complete other tasks assigned by controller Payroll
Process biweekly payroll in ADP Process/print checks for payroll garnishments as needed Submit 401k contributions after payroll is completed OCIP/CCIP reporting for install hours each month Davis Bacon reporting for install hours and payroll for each pay period Record install hours in Business Central after payroll is completed Employee Information
Assist with job posting, scheduling interviews and following up with job candidates New hire paperwork and filing Set up new employees in ADP and timeclock kiosk as needed Send motor vehicle record approval to auto insurance agent for approvals Document/file new hire drug testing Manage and track annual employee performance reviews Schedule/organize employee training classes throughout the year Become an expert on the employee handbook and assist with updates as needed Keep employee files and documents organized Become an expert on employee benefit programs including health insurance and 401k Process employee terminations in ADP Communicated COBRA benefits to terminated employees who participated in health benefits Process unemployment claims as needed Company Events
Company party/event planning and execution Monthly birthday cake (first Tuesday of each month), get cake on plates, print and post list of employee birthdays Company lunches, organize catering and drinks as well as plasticware and setting up tables General HR Admin
Become educated on HR best practices and implementation of those practices Answer employee questions on time off balances, benefits and other things as they come up Assist with covering phones as needed during lunch hour
