Generally 8 to 5, Monday through Friday, occasional meetings or events on evenings and weekends. This is not remote work, but can accommodate remote work for a day or partial day if it makes sense depending on outside meetings scheduled or other reason. What Would You Do?

Economic Development, Community Renewal and Strategic Planning: Assess and evaluate community and business needs to inform strategic redevelopment plans and initiatives. Develop and implement economic development programs for business attraction, retention and expansion. Develop and implement innovative CRA programs and projects that drive economic growth and residential renewal. Project Management & Program Administration: Manage all phases of CRA-funded projects, from research and data gathering to implementation and evaluation. Oversee the administration of CRA grant programs and perform vendor contract management and performance monitoring. Prepare and manage budgets, including Tax Increment Financing (TIF), and ensure timely, accurate annual reporting. Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with residents, businesses, neighborhood associations, and other stakeholders to build and maintain strong, productive relationships. Serve as a community resource, addressing concerns and aligning redevelopment initiatives with local priorities. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of CRA processes and collaborate with county departments to implement best practices. Take the lead on evolving projects and events as community needs change. What Do You Need To Have?

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration, urban planning, or a related field. Experience in community redevelopment, economic development, building/permitting, or urban planning that includes one (1) year of supervision or supervisory training Eight (8) years of experience as described above; or a Bachelor’s degree as described above and four (4) years of experience as described above; or a Master’s degree and two (2) years of experience as described above; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Florida Driver’s License or Florida Commercial Driver’s License and endorsement, if any. Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations. Economic/Redevelopment Expertise:

Comprehensive knowledge of economic development principals, including business retention strategies and/or real estate development. Program Administration: Ability to administer a program including budget management, expenditure tracking, purchasing activities, and required reporting. Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of community development and land use principles, local government operations and budget/finance systems. Project Management: Ability to manage complex projects, research and analyze data, and produce clear, informative reports. Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build consensus and engage effectively with diverse groups of people. Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and administrative skills for contract and grant management. Problem-Solving:
